Port Operations

The Port of Nacala is open 24 hours a day, with the exception of December 31 - from 23:00 hours until 07:00 hours on January 2. Normal working hours are from 07:30 on Monday until 17:00 on Friday. Administration services are closed on holidays while port operations run normally.

Container Terminal

A container terminal with:

  1. Two wharves with capacity to handle 100,000 TEUs per year;

  2. Quay length: 372 meters;

  3. A maximum depth of 15m at low tide;

  4. Storage capacity of 5,722 TEUs.

General Cargo Terminal

A cargo terminal with:

  1. Four wharves and with an annual handling capacity of 2,400,000 tons.

  2. Four warehouses occupying a total area of 6,000 m2;

  3. Wharf length: 610 m;

  4. Draft Minimum: 7.5 m Maximum: 10 m.
